La Sindrome Letale degli Pterigi Multipli fa parte del gruppo delle artrogriposi insieme alla Sindrome di Neu-Laxova, alla Sindrome COFS ed alla Sndrome di Pena-Shokeir. E' una malattia a trasmissione autosomica recessiva.
La diagnosi prenatale si basa su:
1) rilievo
di SAF (assenza dei movimenti attivi fetali, dei movimenti dei muscoli respiratori
e dei singhiozzi).

igroma cistico.
4)
idrope .
5)
pterigi (pieghe cutanee).
6)
IUGR.
